In a nutshell, this pasture management continues to prove itself as one solution to the many problems caused by deforestation, overgrazing, erosion, water quality and impoverished livelihoods in rural environments all over the world.
With a focus on MIG, this video highlights my research with rural farmers from both the famously biodiverse Atlantic Forest in Santa Catarina, Brazil and the beautiful Green Mountain State of Vermont, USA. Among the many projects I was involved, this video produced at the Gund Institute, focuses on my dissertation topics.
I obtained my PhD in Natural Resources at the Rubenstein School of Environmental and Natural Resources, at the Gund Institute for Ecological Economics at UVM, where I was a Graduate Fellow. I am also an agronomist with emphasis in sustainable agriculture and ecosystem services. I come from a two-generation beef and sheep family farm in Rivera, northern Uruguay.
